Chemical Manufacturing is constantly changing and evolving over time- and the legal requirements and regulations that govern it are vast. Keeping up with the constant changes is hard enough without having to worry about efficient labeling and tracking issues.

Add to this complex challenge the efforts by supra national entities to standardize everything and you have a potential nightmare unfolding as different national standards organizations clash with international ones. The GHS- the UN’s Globally Harmonized System (GHS) is not widely accepted and has yet to be adopted or integrated into the standards that govern the chemical industry as a whole.

Interpretation and implementation has been erratic at best making compliance across different economic zones difficult yet failure to comply carries severe penalties and heavy fines.

Add to this the fact that investors and backers require proper Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability – (EHS&S) standards throughout the supply chain and chemical producers, suppliers and shippers are left asking: How can a business succeed?
